Yeah, it's one of those occasions where I'm SO far behind the curve that it's almost an INSULT to style bloggers across the blogosphere that I call myself one of them. Sorry, fellow bloggers! But I never said I was a trendsetter. I really need to feel comfortable with something before I make the commitment of putting down my cold, hard cash for a trend item. I was way into pink fuzzy coats about two years ago after spotting a crazy stylish girl in London rocking one, but when the pastel coat made a resurgence earlier this year I was kind of /meh. I mean, I can't deny the dreaminess of a pastel marshmallow coat, but they can feel so very twee, cutesy, 60s and preppy. And that's a look I'm not 100% feeling right now. I'd feel like I was playing dress up.
However, I've been wearing almost nothing but basics, neutrals and black lately. And I happen to be of the opinion that a pastel/grey/white coat would look totes gorge in that combination. Some requirements I set for my perfect pastel coat: made of a warm, heavy wool mix; oversized or elegant menswear inspired; at least thigh length; having a collar and lacking any unnecessary details.
Clean, modern, fresh.
Here are some gorgeous examples I pinned recently.

And here are some versions you can actually buy right now! UGH SO MANY CUTE COATS I WANT THEM ALL.
Of course, some of us are on a tight budget. Girl, I got you covered!
I'm SO close to ordering this baby for myself... Which one is your favourite? And how would you style a pale coat? I personally think they look stunning with equally pastel accessories like scarves, gloves, hats or purses.
