Halloween Party 2012

I just got back from a haunted tour sort of deal for Halloween (it was lame and my butt hurts from all the walking), so it only seems fitting I'll finally share all the stuff that happened last Sunday during my Halloween party. Sit back and enjoy!

The food: spiderweb pizza for my vegetarian friend Camille and a worm sandwich (cut up hotdogs slathered in ketchup) for the rest of us carnivores. The spiderwebs would have looked better if I had used less mozzarella, but that cheese is so goooooood. Also, I made pumpkin soup out of the pumpkin carvings and it was yummy, but I didn't take pictures because soup looks totes boring.

And then we took a walk in the graveyard, after which we all huddled together on the couch to watch a horror movie. We ended up going for The Woman In Black which was quite atmospheric, but sadly very cliché without any character development. Not a recommendation. But the party totally was! DO host Halloween parties for your best friends and act totally cheesy.

Halloween 2012: Black Swan Costume

OK so I was gone for two days because I had my Halloweenparty on Sunday and went to see Skyfall (RECOMMENDATION!) on Monday, so my evenings were pretty busy and I had literally NO time to blog. Sorry! But here I am in ALL of my glory, to share pictures of my costume with you. The photographs of the party will go up tomorrow!

I am pretty fracking stoked about how well my Black Swan Halloween costume turned out. The corset and the tutu skirt were bought together on Ebay at some slightly fetishy store but it was cheap and I figured I could totally wear the corset again in some other setting (yeah, the boyfriend is very pleased). I did my hair up in a sock bun and the shoes are simply my black flats with some ribbon tied around my feet and ankles. 

The make up might look cool but it was RIDICULOUSLY easy. The hardest part is probably the outline around my eyes: pointed down from eyebrows to halfway down my nose ending in a V shape, straight across the eyebrows and underneath the eyes, tapering towards the hairline. But if you get that rough shape right, you just have to fill up the outline with squiggly lines. Srsly. That's all I did. Without any perfectionism. It just looks RAD without effort. 

Apart from that I just slapped on white face paint all over my face + dark red lipstick, plus some of the fake blood that came with my sister's vampire teeth to go on my index finger. I think we all remember that scene (DO NOT CLICK IF YOU'RE QUEASY IN ANY WAY).

Like it? I sure did! Especially after loosening the lacing on the back of my corset so that I could actually breathe. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?

Golds and Pinks

Quicky outfitpost since I won't be able to post tomorrow night because I'll be too busy having my HALLOWEENPARTY! Pumpkincarving, cooking creepy food, getting drunk, dressing up, watching horrormovies: it's gonna be EPIC. I know I have been going on and on about it, but Halloween is absolutely up there with my other fave holidays (Christmas & New Year's): I've been the hugest fan of scary stories, vampires, witches and everything that has anything to do with creepiness since I was a kid, so OBVIOUSLY I'm crazy about Halloween. Around this time of year I actually google scary stories to get in the mood... I could totally live in Tim Burton's Halloweentown and be happy as a clam.

ANYWAY this is my outfit: a simple combination of a sweater and corduroys in tones of gold and pink. Comfortable and casual. I'll see you again on Monday!

Another outfit I wore to work. Sorry for the noise in my pictures again! It has just been getting dark so early these days, and with work and all I can't make time for pictures during the day. But like I said before, the pics might not be perfect but I like how moody they are. Goes perfectly with my witchy outfit (yes I am obsessed with Halloween OK). And you can see how dark it really was when these pictures were taken here:

Considering, I think my lens did a pretty darn good job. 

Do you like my gold star ear studs?  I SO do, they are perfect for a toned down witchy/goth/halloween look that is still chic.
