Coral Pants, Ruby Sweater, Thesis Done

parka, sweater: Pimkie - skinnies: Zara - flats: Texto

I only wear pants these days. Not because I don't like skirts, but the weather has been so... fussy. Like rain but warm or sunny but super windy. Pants are just easier! Also, when you have been spending 99% of your time indoors, sitting in front of your laptop or curled up on the couch (also with your laptop), you sort of want to wear stuff that won't get all wrinkly or hike up.

And there you have it, a few lines of text about why pants > skirts! Just keepin' it legit, you know. Actually, I just turned in my thesis today. I forgot to take a picture of the end result, all of my streamlined, scientifically worded thoughts of the past years printed on those pages, turned into a cute little official looking booklet with my name on the front page. And I forgot to take a picture of it :-( I wish I had. Pictures always solidify my memories. A mental image just isn't reliable.

All of those people who were like "omg writing your thesis is the worst thing ever" are WHACK and I should never have believed them. I loved writing my thesis. Even the days when I was sure that all of my work was shit, or when I had to type out a gazillion of transcripts, or when I had to nag my boyfriend for a ride to god knows for an interview. I was doing SCIENCE! Creating new theory! Contributing to our world's knowledge reserve! The end result of four years of hard work. I'd seriously gladly write another thesis.

Peace out! I'm going to sulk + gloat a bit. Still curled up on the couch. In pants.

  4. Meer bepaald over postmodernisme en culturele distinctie (a la bourdieu), toegepast op Gaga en haar fans als case. Waarom? :D

  6. Do it! And congratulations. I'm not sure if I would gladly write another thesis or not, but whenever I think about how I'm kind of an "expert" now, I do get my gloat on.

    You're looking great in pants!

Spannend :)

  14. Mine's done too! Handing it in tomorrow :)
I also printed a copy for myself, to remind me of all the blood, sweat and tears. (But damn that shizzle is expensive!)

  16. Good to hear that you loved writing your thesis. Some people do have problems with
their thesis writing, especially managing their time right. I think one problem is that they can’t focus on their thesis writing because of other things. So, it would be a good idea to log off from every website that can divert your attention away from thesis writing.
