Lemons and Clogs

dress: Primark - purse: Pimkie - clogs: Lotta from Stockholm - sunglasses: H&M - watch: Swatch

One day I nag about not wanting to be pinned down to the whole sweet vintage aesthetic, and the next I walk out in a lemon printed promdress with red, quirky clogs. BITCH DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE WANT is what you're probably thinking, and it's not ENTIRELY true. I mean, I know what direction I want to take, but I still have a lot of perfectly adorable vintage-y stuff in my wardrobe. I'm not going to throw all of that out, you know! I'm just not going to pair this dress with one of my flower headbands, that would be a bit much for me right now. But clogs go with everything so WHATEVS. I feel like the blue accents give this outfit a bit of an edge anyway.

GRATUITOUS COUPLE SHOT! The boyfriend wears nice brogues and red trousers.

De clogs zijn iets minder mijn ding, maar ze staan je wel goed!

  4. it's good to be all vintage and girly one day, and all edgy the other day! It's the fun part of getting dressed up :P
You look great in girly-girly and in boyish, in edgy and in flowers... So why not?
That said, this dress is aweeeeeesome!!! Love the whole outfit.

  5. Natuurlijk draag je dit kleedje nog! Veel te mooi om te laten hangen :). En je vastpinnen op één stijl is ook voor niets nodig, gewoon aantrekken waar je zin in hebt (wat jij ongetwijfeld ook doet)!

  6. Oh how I love that dress! And yes, even though you don't want to be vintagey/girly as much I think you can make all your gorgeous dresses work for a new style :D

  7. That dress could totally be punked/grunged up. More difficult to make it minimalist though. ;) I know you're all over the retro aesthetic, but it just looks so good on you...

  8. I think something as simple as adding converse and a fuss free pony tail would already make this the sort of tomboy preppy thing I'm aiming for, but it was too hot! :D I'm not all over it though, don't worry, I still love my dresses! It just doesn't excite me as much anymore.

  9. These photos are really gorgeous and lovely. I know exactly what you mean. I hate the idea of being tied to one style or niche but then I wear/have a lot of the same style stuff. Ah well. Oh, and that shoes picture is just too cute!

  16. Maak u toch niet zo druk om een bepaalde stijl. Ik draag continu verschillende stijlen en looks. Tis niet dat er bepaalde regels of richtlijnen zijn. Just play around.

  17. I know, het zit gewoon in mijn hoofd. Zelfs at the height van mijn retro periode droeg ik vaak nog gans andere dingen, maar om een of andere reden voel ik mij daar nu zo in vastgemetst terwijl ik niet weet hoe ik eruit wil zien.

  19. I like that shot of both your feet, your man has great style too! you look adorable on this dress but aah, you could always throw a T over & put on some tennies if you're going for a more casual/grundge look. and shame belgium weren't closer and I'd bed to swap you some things!
