Fairisle Mittens

Temperatures are finally dropping over here (I want my white christmas!) so before class, I hopped by the shops to buy me some wool. Mittens, a hat, socks and a scarf. My hat and mittens happened to match my outfit perfectly, so I incorporated them into my look. This is probably what I'd wear on a skiing trip, if I didn't hate skiing that is. I tried it once on a school trip and I fell on my ass COUNTLESS times. Also, someone actually skied INTO my ass once after I fell on that ass. Not cool. Anyway here is my chalet-proof outfit! Lots of fairisle going on here. Paulien, who took my pictures, told me I looked like a chalet-Barbie. I can work with that.

I think I was pretending to be a pinguin here. SPOT ON right?

My green hair is already fading and it makes me sad. After all of my nagging I really fell in love with my hair and I'm pretty sure I'll dye it green once again after this, it's such a cool, unusual and flattering color!

sweater: Think Twice vintage
mittens, hat, legging, socks: H&M
boots: Pimkie
backpack: River Island
blouse: Zara

PS: Don't forget to check out my giveaway!

PPS: Leggings totally are pants. Screw those rule followers that nag you about how leggings aren't pants. As long as shiz is opaque, shiz is pants! EVEN if the bum isn't entirely covered.

case in point:

Sandy looked hot as hell. Even though she was probably unable to breathe in that tight little number. Fit, fabric and styling are everything!

  3. But leggings let everybody see every nook and cranny and crevice! Have you never been struck blind by a gal walking in front of you who's butt cheeks are both jiggling all over and each perfectly defined by the leggings crawling up her buttcrack?! AH! But you seemed to have your buns covered here so I guess it's awwright :p

  4. In my opinion a thick legging isn't more revealing than skinny jeans: jeans crawling up your buttcrack look awful as well! And ain't nothing wrong with a bit of jiggle, that's just what our bodies do! :D

  5. You look like you are all ready for the Winter! And your mittens, hat, and gloves are sure to keep you warm for the blustery weather. I dream of a white Christmas, but it will never snow in SF :-)

  7. I think leggings can usually be pants, when worn "correctly". As long as they aren't see-through or too inappropriate looking, it's all good. :) Of course they aren't always super attractive, and a lot of people don't like them as pants, but who cares?! If you like 'em then by all means wear them.

    I love Fair Isle knits...so wintery. ♥

  8. Opaque is good... also no obvious visible panty lines is a requirement I think! I think I got scarred for life with leggings by my elementary school music teacher. Love your mittens and penguin pose though!

  11. Leuke outfit! En dat van 'leggings zijn wel broeken' doet me kei hard denken aan dat zinnetje in één van de wc's in de resto (' Leggings zijn GEEN broeken'). Ik vind het kunnen, zolang de poep maar een beetje bedekt is dan :).

  12. I loooove the mittens! The color is great with your hair and you look way cozy. I agree. Very chalet Barbie. I have the skiiing, too. It scares me. I also think leggings can be pants. As long as they're not see though and your bum is covered I see no problem.

  13. Okay, these pictures totally have me on board with the teal hair!! I like it faded a bit...more "natural." Like you are a wintery mermaid!

And I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only person in the world lusting for cold weather! I'm sorry, but it just doesn't feel like Christmas/winter when it is 65F and I'm wearing a t-shirt. Bah humbug.

  15. I agree with you about leggings as pants, but to a point. I see some girl wearing them so tight, they have camel toe for miles!! Icky. But if you pair them with a long cute sweater or tunic it's cool:)

I am so jealous its starting to get cold where you are!! It's supposed to be hot tomorrow where I live. That is just unacceptable in December. I want to wear big cozy sweaters!!
