Patent Loafers

When I spotted these low heeled, granny style tassle loafers at New Look for just 24 euro, I knew they had to come home with me. It's so hard to find a heel that isn't either completely flat or a stiletto of towering heights. Don't you just hate that? I totally do. Maybe I'm just a whuss, but I am not at all able to manage more than a couple (literally, one or two) hours of high heel wearing unless I'm sitting down all day, so lower heels are an absolute necessity in my life.

I have loads of work for school but also some fun activities this weekend: tomorrow we're going to visit a CIRCUS! A traveling circus has set up camp right across from my doorstep and I'm mega excited because circuses are cool and exciting and shit. I totally want to run away and join the circus! All the circus people live in trailers and they wear actual red circus costumes and there are llama's and tiny ponies and cotton candy... Sadly, a circus with wild animals is infeasible without creating horrible living conditions for the animals so that whole practice is illegal nowadays, but the circus still retains some of its oldtime splendor, no?

I will probably be let down but I have never been to a circus before (besides Cirque du Soleil, but that's not a REAL circus) so I am still excited, even though most of the visitors will probably be 6-year olds.

Also, there is a waffle-baking thing for a good cause or something (my mind zoned out when I heard WAFFLES) so I'm going to stuff my face with waffles and try to remember to take some pictures.

PEACE OUT

  1. We all need a little bit of granny in our wardrobe! I have lots of it actually. I love high heels and could wear them all day though!

  2. I love the circus! Except for the fact that, no matter what, I will purchase by way-overpriced circus-popcorn... and then subsequently spill 3/4 of it on the ground in front of my seat somehow. Every. Single. Circus. So I just stopped buying popcorn. I hope you have fun :D

  3. Love this outfit! Especially the dress! :D
I sit all day so I'm perfectly fine in my coocoo heels, but if I'm going out shopping or something I need to wear my flats...but then I get blisters from the flats, I can never win :p So I should just suffer in the heels all the time ;)
And oooh a circus! I haven't been to one in FOREVERRRRRR

  5. Pretty pretty! Jouw roze haar is echt schattig bij u, wat je in eerste instantie niet zou verwachten! dacht eerder dat het je look meer punky en edgy zou maken, maar het lijkt gewoon echt natuurlijk!

  16. Cute dress! I always have mixed feelings when it comes to the circus, it's kind of cool to see & yet I do feel bad for the animals. They should be allowed to run free & be wild :)

  17. our circus only has like ponies and two llama's and a few bulls and geese so no "wild" animals: I can enjoy guilt-free :D
