New Camera and Crazy Skirt!

Hey guys! I've been messing around with my new/old camera that I've fallen madly in love with and this is my first EVER outfit shoot with a real DSLR! I still need to figure out a way to get the colors to be more natural and the lighting and contrast to be better, but I couldn't help myself and figured that I might as well jump right into it and learn in the process! Of course that meant I had to edit these pics to improve the lighting and colors, but I still like how they turned out :-)

For comparison: here's a pic with my old digicam.

The colors are brighter here, but the image is also a lot flatter. I love how my new camera places me right smack in the middle of the scenery instead of making it look as if I'm standing in front of a screen. Also, that close up of my swishing hair has me swooning over the detail of my hairz!

How are you liking my crazy skirt? I have no idea why it has a print of sailor-esque figures with cd's instead of faces, but I loved the bold red stripes and the price (5 euro, SCORE). I went for a primary color outfit and a printmix by pairing it with this pale blue pinstripe top and my faaaavorite S/S2011 shoes, these green clogs. Simple, fun, vibrant and casual, just the way I like it!

skirt: T2
top: Pimkie
clogs: H&M
