Flower Market

I did an interview with a sweet reader of mine, Lauren, over at her blog! Go check it out and leave the girl a comment on this beautiful Saturday :) I love it when people send me lovely emails asking me for an interview because they love my blog. Blogging is such a beautiful way to share some happiness and sunshine with the rest of the world :)

Introduction of one of the items I got with the River Island gift voucher I received for promoting their Student Party: the espadrilles! I was drawn in by their retro St Tropez feel when I first laid eyes on them a few weeks ago, but I needed to make up my mind as to what color to get! They come in leopard, black, navy, white (all of the previous plain canvas) and this cream lace pair. When I put these on I immediately went OOOOH BALLET POINTES so yeah, I fell for these. They only cost 40 euros and they are cute and comfy, so I recommend them to all of you!

I wore this outfit to go to the annual flower market in my town, right in front of my house. The weather was more than lovely with 28°celsius and a stiff breeze to cool us down, so our little town looked lovely as can be: perfect for a flower market!

as you can see, my boyfriend LOVES flower markets, haha

We went home with a daisy bush! I have always loved daisies: cheery, modest, pretty, simple, casual and bright. The girl next door of flowers! Not pretentious like roses. Yeah, pretentiousness totally deserves italics.

I immediately gave it a place in our lovely little savage garden.

Pretty, right? Almost like wild flowers. I love it when gardens look "natural", not as if someone forced them into a certain mold with neat paths and pots and trimmings. I like a bit of unkemptness in my life.

I hope your saturday was as beautiful as mine!

dress, hat, cardi: H&M
espadrilles: River Island
nailpolish: Catrice

PS: no idea why my pictures make my legs look SO much more tan than the rest of my body. I swear it doesn't look that way in real life.

  2. Haha flowers definately is the keyword of this post! ;) Mooi outfitje!

  10. Those espadrilles are lovely! I'm stepping up my own search for the perfect pair. And I agree with you about gardens; when I was a kid I was always trying to convince my dad not to cut the lawn, as I liked it best a bit jungly. : )

  27. I totally agree with you on how gardens should be. They're so much more welcoming when they seem to be wild and free, like the kind of place you might find a fairy hiding behind an old flower pot :) I really dig this espadrilles, super cute.
