For Whom The Bell Tolls

Part one of my New Look delivery! I got up early yesterday to make sure I had some time left to pick up my package from New Look. Of course I was all excited like I am every time I get a delivery, so I had to keep myself from tearing the package open while walking home, but I mustered up the control to wait until I was in my living room. Out came my new velvet skirt, striped jersey midi dress, knee socks and backseam tights and I tried everything on and I loved every piece. The velvet skirt is so luxurious and soft and I’m just a huge sucker for the whole velvet effect. I’m into goth and elegance for fall, and the velvet ties in nicely with that trend. The jersey dress immediately solved my ‘what to wear to class today’ problem. The weather was quite warm, but not warm enough for short dresses, and since I don’t have that many casual knee length dresses, this one was perfect!

I love how it’s both casual (fabric + print) and elegant (cut), both sexy (tight) and modest(not showing much skin). I played up the casual part of the equasion with my flat sandals and denim jacket et voila, an outfit i’m in love with! I had some curls left from yesterday, but not enough, so I pinned my hair up and left some locks to frame my face.
 dress: New Look
sandals: Sac d'Anvers
jacket: H&M
bag: Zara

I really scored in the mid season sales (H&M is having them too), I’ll show you guys later! I’m typing this in our university’s library, gotta get ready for class now(sociology of culture and religion, interesting!), bye!

  1. Wohoo! This outfit rocks!!! Loved how you dressed your New Look dress, very simple, comfortable and chic!!! You look relaxed which is very nice!!! And oh how much I love your new bag!!! I like some bags in Zara too, they have quite good pieces for this season but I'm having a "shopping diet" so I barely stop myself :)

  2. I don't buy bags that often, I don't like really cheap bags but Zara has SUCH a nice equilibrium between bags quality and price. They don't look cheap!
    thanks :D

  3. I love that dress on you. Basic but a littly sexy because of the skin tight shape. I think you can wear it for more formal events too. Maybe add some black blazer and tights with nice classy heels.

    (P.S. I restyled my blog last week: http://fashionhedonista.blogspot.com/ )

    ;-)
